Email Newsletters

2010-10-04 10:04:00
Okay, so you want to start capturing names and email addresses to send out email newsletters? We say that is cool, and we'd be happy to help with that, even if it's just expressing a little advice.

Our quick advice for email newsletters:
  1. Do not sell names and email addresses captured to remarketing agencies.
  2. Send "branded" email newsletters. Otherwise your newsletter followers may opt-out of your email campaign, disregarding you as a serious company.
  3. Provide an unsubscribe link with all newsletter emails.
  4. Have a purpose for your newsletters, don't just send an email blast because the weather is nice.
  5. Don't be over self-indulgent, your followers will not care.
  6. Oversending: It's annoying, and your emails will become a victim of junk-mail.
Those are just a few of our pet-peeves. To find out more about email newsletters check out an interview with email newsletter pro, Michael Katz.

What About the Small Guys?

2010-06-14 01:17:00
Okay, so you just started your new business and need a little website, business card, logo, stationary, marketing message, or digital super vitamin? And we are willing to bet you are looking to get the best possible design for your money, even if it means hiring a graphic design student (intern)... for free, or you're going to offer a portfolio boost? We know you've heard it a million times, but you get what you pay for.

If you are starting a new business consider investing in your core message, brand identity and audience interaction methods. Utilizing the latest web technologies, SEO and social media outlets such as Twitter, it's not difficult to reach your target audience. However, image is everything and you only get one chance to make a stellar first impression. Why not do it right with a small design boutique, or agency who's willing to go the extra mile to maximize your brand?

Yes, we know we are not the end-all of creative design boutiques, but we are sensative to the needs of a small business and welcome the opportunity to assist those who are trying to get their new business off the ground (non-profits included).

Well don't be shy, ask us how we can work together to help your business grow.
